We performed the world premiere of Neil Cox's Requiem Canticles, (commissioned for our 70th anniversary, but actually performing in our 75th season) Allegri’s Miserere and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Plus a pairing of Byrd's Ave Verum Corpus and Roderick Williams’ response to it: Ave Verum Corpus Reimagined.
With countertenor Tom Lilburn, Cecily Beer on harp, Laura Morris on French horn, Piers Maxim on organ, Jack Redman on keyboard and Anna Newman and Diggory Seacome on percussion.

Centred around the stunning Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël by Poulenc, our 2023 Christmas concert featured music by Byrd and Praetorius as well as Cecilia McDowall, Francis Pott, Gabriel Jackson and works by two of the choir’s own members: Charlotte Baskerville and William Armiger.

Three Choirs Festival: A Feast of Slavic Music

Performing alongside violin, guitar and piano trio Muzika Lyra we performed Bortniansky's Cherubic Hymn No 7 and Let My Prayer Arise; Łukaszewski's Two Lenten Motets and arrangements of two traditional Ukrainian folk songs.

Elgar Festival concert in
Great Malvern Priory
with the Worcester Cathedral Chamber Choir and English Symphony Orchestra
We sang Ian Venables’ beautiful Requiem, already a modern classic, in a powerful new version for choir and orchestra. In the first half of the concert, the English Symphony Orchestra performed Summerland by William Grant Still; Elgar’s touching and whimsical Mina; Visions of Piers Plowman by Michael Berkeley and Elgar's Suite from King Arthur.
