Welcome With a rich 70 year history, the Saint Cecilia Singers have long established themselves as Gloucester’s premier chamber choir. Founded by Donald Hunt in 1949, the choir has always enjoyed strong links with Gloucester Cathedral, working with some of the brightest new talents in choral music and performing in the stunning surroundings of Gloucestershire’s most famous building. Directed by the brilliant Jonathan Hope, the choir performs regularly in and around Gloucestershire and is noted for its varied and challenging repertoire. The choir is equally at home singing evensong, large scale concerts, cathedral favourites or Hope’s witty and charming arrangements. With some of the best musicians in the county as members, we have our fingers on the pulse of all things musical in Gloucestershire. Head over to our blog page for reviews, recommendations and more.
